Orphan Sunday – November 11

kristinAnnouncements, Events

Image

All are invited to attend an informational meeting on orphan care for kids in our community. Through the lens of the Gospel, we will see God’s heart for orphans and learn of the various ways in which everyone can be involved.

We will meet in the NCC Coffee Shop on Sunday, November 11th at 1:00.  Ironically, no childcare is provided.

A Father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, is God in His holy habitation. God makes a home for the lonely – Psalm 68:5-6

Seasoned Salt – Oct 10

kristinAnnouncements, Events

Next meeting: October 10

Dr. Titus Kennedy , a professor with a Ph.D in archaeology travels to various digs in Israel and the Middle East and has great information about his experiences! He will be speaking on “Archeology of Jesus and the Gospels” at the next Seasoned Salt fellowship Wednesday, October 10 in the sanctuary at 9:30 a.m.

Dr. Kennedy has also served as research director on the film series “Drive Through History”. He was here nearly two years ago and was a hit!

Seasoned Salt
9:30 am – 11:00 am
In the Sanctuary

Our goals are fellowship, encouragement, compassion, outreach, service and ministry.

Everyone is welcome.
Light refreshments will be served.

Seasoned: Experiential knowledge

A“seasoned pilot”, a “seasoned traveler”, a “seasoned vet”. Our goal as Christians should be to develop a “seasoned relationship” with our Lord.

Salt is used as seasoning, a disinfectant, and to balance fluids for our bodies chemical functions!

By developing that “seasoned relationship” with Jesus, we become the salt of the earth, flavored so pleasantly that others relish and thirst for that genuine life giving truth that only Jesus has to offer to ALL who will come and drink so they may never thirst again!

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6
