Seasoned Salt Fellowship

At our next meeting on Wednesday, October 10, our special guest will be Dr. Titus Kennedy. Dr. Kennedy is an archaeologist working primarily with sites and materials related to the Bible, predominantly from the Bronze Age through the Roman period. His fieldwork includes archaeological excavations and surveys at numerous sites in the Middle East and the Americas, and artifact research at museums all over the world. Dr. Kennedy has a wonderful Christian testimony. He also served as research director on the film series “Drive Through History”. He was here nearly two years ago and was a hit!  He will be speaking on “Archeology of Jesus and the Gospels”. The program will take in the Sanctuary and begins at 9:30 am and ends around 11:00 am. Everyone is welcome.

Quilting and Handcrafts
Join us in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 27 for our last get-together this year. We’ll be finishing up on our pillowcases for Operation Christmas Child. Everyone is welcome from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please visit the Info Center if you have any questions.

Operation Christmas Child
If you would like to participate in Operation Christmas Child, you can pick up a shoebox in the lobby and fill it with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, Bible tracts, and/or accessories. This is a ministry that reaches many children every year for Christ and your gift would be a great blessing to a child in need. Please return your filled shoeboxes to the Info Center or the church office by November 19.

Orphan Sunday
All are invited to attend an informational meeting on orphan care for kids in our community. Through the lens of the Gospel, we will see God’s heart for orphans and learn of the various ways in which everyone can be involved. We will meet in the NCC Coffee Shop on Sunday, November 11th at 1:00.  A Father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, is God in His holy habitation. God makes a home for the lonely – Psalm 68:5-6. No Childcare provided.

Nursery and Toddler Ministry
Our Nursery and Toddler Classroom is currently looking for willing servants to watch over the littlest members of our church. You do not need to be a teacher and you are not required to help every week. We are looking for a few people who are willing to volunteer just once a month. If this is something you might be interested in, please visit the Info Center and complete the white, “Nursery and Toddler” card, and drop it in the box. Jeanna, the Nursery and Toddler Coordinator, will be in touch to answer any questions you may have.

Helping Hands Requests
There is an elderly lady in Central Washington who listens to Pastor Bob on the radio and she desperately desires a writing companion, as she is alone with no family or church home. If you would be willing to correspond to her, send an email to kathy@northcountrychapel.com for her information. Thank you so much for considering this lady’s heartfelt wish for companionship.

A single mother who lives in Post Falls is in need of someone to watch over her kids from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday evenings. She is also looking to rent a 5-bedroom home in the near future.

If you are able to help with any of these needs, please call the Church Office at 208-773-7100 or send an email to: ncc@northcountrychapel.com    Thank you so much.

Prayer Requests

  • Ron Miller sends this Prayer Request from Thailand: I have a team from Upland, CA arriving. Doctors (hopefully), nurses and a paramedic. Things are not good in the Shan/Wa area of Burma for Christians. There are many needs, both physically and spiritually. Well, after much prayer, P Nu, the staff, and I have decided to go into the Shan States and minister to the needs there. The border is closed, but, no problem, we have found an alternative entrance. Please pray for safety getting in and out, and, most urgently, that beyond ministering to their physically needs that we can minister to their spiritual needs. Very few Christians amongst the Shan and Wa. Please pray. Love you guys. Blessings, Ron Miller
  • A lady is going to be baptized on Sunday and asks for prayer.
  • Please lift up a brother and sister in Christ who have suffered a loss and are in pain.
  • Please pray for my grandson Paul Junior; he’s having heart surgery, thank you.
  • Please pray for the sick and shut-ins; the homeless and those whose hearts are broken.
  • Please pray that my interview will go well and they will pay me what I want and most of all that it is God’s Will for me to take this new position.
  • A lady in Kansas sends this Prayer request: Y'all please pray for my family, my lil’ brother is missing hasn't been seen since Saturday.
  • Please pray for my best friend, R. K. She was admitted to the hospital yesterday with tummy and heart issues.
  • My oldest boy is in jail and I don’t know when he’s getting out. Please pray he finds his path when he gets out. My heart is broken. He’s only one 19.

  • Please pray for me and my family, we are being harassed by a neighbor that has outright said that she wants to destroy us! She is causing much trouble, both she and her husband. Please pray for our safety and bring us the victory over this. I am also desperately seeking employment, I am at my wits end; please pray for me.
  • Please, please; take a moment out of your busy lives and say a good long prayer to the Lord for my nephew R. Y. He is 2 months old and we are being told he might not make it. He needs a true miracle!
  • Please pray for my husband Marty, whose hip is very bad, please pray that he get to have his operation. Please pray for him as he is in a lot of pain when working; thank you so much, God bless.
  • Got a very disturbing phone call from my doctor today. Our genetic scan came back as abnormal. I am 21 weeks pregnant with our son and this news just hit me like a rock. Our family just suffered with the murder of our brother-in-law this last Sunday and now we are getting told my son has a 1 in 17 chance of having 2 chromosomal abnormalities that are fatal. Please pray that there isn't one and he doesn't have trisomy 18 and 13. Please pray for a negative result when we go get further testing this week.
  • Please pray for me and my family; vertigo hit me this morning. Then my husband just called, the doctor found and abnormality in his heart. Our 16 year old son is into drugs, and we had to kick him out because of violence towards us and dealing out of home. Prayers appreciated.
  • If you have a Prayer Request, you may send your request via email or call the church office at (208) 773-7100. You may also fill out a Prayer Request Form located in the church lobby.
