This Week
Cleaning Servants
If you are looking to get involved at the church, volunteering is a great way to do just that. Currently, we need help with our Cleaning Ministry. We meet for ten minutes in the Fellowship Hall on Friday mornings at 10:00 am sharp. Duties include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, washing windows, dusting, picking up trash around the campus, and emptying trash cans.
Clothing and Stuff Exchange
NCC’s ‘Clothing and Stuff Exchange’ is a fun event scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3, in the Fellowship Hall from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Donate your gently used clothing and stuff, and take what you need; no money changes hands. All gently used sizes of men’s, women’s, kids', and infant clothing are exchanged, as well as ‘stuff’, such as small household appliances, gardening tools, and miscellaneous items. No donation is required to receive clothing or other items. We cannot hold your donations, please bring them with you on the day of the event. For more information and to sign up to help, please visit the Info Center or call the church office at (208) 773-7100. You may also speak with Jesse in the Coffee Shop or Bookstore.
North Country Kids
North Country Kids is for boys and girls from Pre-K/Kindergarten to 8th grade who meet on Friday nights at 7:00 pm. Our goal is to teach kids that Jesus loves them. We do this through Worship Music and Bible lessons. All kids are welcome; we look forward to meeting you!
Bible Study and Worship
You are warmly invited to join us for Bible Study and Worship in the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as Pastor Bob teaches verse-by-verse through the Gospel of Matthew. On Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Bob teaches verse-by-verse in 2 Thessalonians, on Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Bob teaches verse-by-verse the Epistle to the Galatians. As a church family, we are committed to the safety of you, your family, and all who attend North Country Chapel. We ask those who feel poorly or believe they may have an illness that could spread to others to stay home and join us online for Bible Study.
Online Weekly Bible Studies
For those who are uncomfortable attending services in person due to COVID-19 or are not feeling well, all our Bible Studies are currently online, and we invite you to join us via our website, on the radio, and Facebook LIVE. You can access our studies in the following ways:
- Audio of the study is available after the service (10:30 a.m. Sundays, 8:30 p.m. Mondays, and Fridays) on our Latest Studies page and our app. Videos of the studies will be available by Tuesday afternoon.
Gifts & Offerings
Those who call North Country Chapel their church home, you may donate online via North Country Chapel’s website by selecting the Giving tab or accessing the same giving site using NCC’s app on your smartphone. Prayer Requests
- Please pray for me (Anne) and my family, that we are protected and given peace, and for Divine protection.
- Please pray for Derek and his wife, Haley. Derek has a rare cancer, stage 4, and needs healing. May the Lord bring Glory to Himself as He works His perfect will in these lives and those who love and know Derek.
- Please pray for my adult son, he has serious marital problems and a drinking addiction. Thank you.
- Please continue to pray for Katie.
- Please pray for L., F., and D. for healing, deliverance, and protection, as this season reminds them of the anniversary of their father's passing. May the LORD ignite a love for Jesus and God's word within their hearts. Thank you.
- From Far Reaching Ministries: Dear Prayer Warriors, please lift up Pastor Steve Whinery in prayer. He is currently undergoing surgery unexpectedly. We ask that you pray for a smooth and successful procedure, wisdom for the medical team, and a full, swift recovery.
- Can you please pray for my daughter? She has asthma. And please pray for the Lord to protect and watch over my son.
- Please pray for my parents, John and Darlene. God, please touch them and heal them from the tops of their heads to the soles of their feet and spare their lives for many more years.
- I have a silent prayer request.
- I would greatly appreciate your prayers. I have a severe mental illness and brain disease called schizophrenia, and I am on some enormously powerful medication for it called clozapine. I am currently in an unbelievably bad situation. The medication makes me do dreadful things, but at the same time, I can't function at all without it. I am nearly screaming in pain without it. The only way out of this situation is a miracle healing of my disease, schizophrenia. Please pray for a miracle! Thank you! DD
- Pray for my coworker’s newborn. She was born a month early, is underweight, and is not doing well. Lord, be with this family.
- Prayers for my husband not to get deported.
- Please pray for my brother Johnny. He’s in the hospital and scared. He’s got suspected blood clots in his leg and lungs. He’s slow mentally, and my heart is broken. He’s got such a long road ahead. They are saying he’ll recover, but I want those evil clots out and for him restored to perfect health. In Jesus’ name I pray.
- Can you please pray for my friend’s mom? She has cancer throughout her body. Her name is Connie. Thank you so very much. My friend and her family are completely devastated.
- I'm reaching out to ask for prayers for myself. I have discovered a breast lump, and on April 17, I will undergo a diagnostic mammogram with ultrasound. I lost my mom and an aunt to breast cancer. I am praying that this lump is nothing for me to worry about. Thank you in advance for your prayers. AM
- I am crying while praying as I’m in so much pain. Please pray for me. Seruga
- Please pray for my dad, who was in the hospital.
- I need prayer. I feel alone in this world. I have no real friends, I don’t have a decent job, and even if I work hard, I won’t have a good salary. This situation has lasted for years and is not getting better. God will have mercy on me and help me. A
- My prayer request is that what I’ve been praying for since the start of last year will be answered tomorrow.
- Please pray for my son. We are trying to determine why his liver numbers have tripled in the last month. This is a scary time, and I just want my baby to be okay. MB
- Please pray for Mattie J. Her doctors said that she was born with a deformed brain; they are just trying to keep her seizures to a minimum. Sylvia
- Please pray for me and my mom. There's something we've been dealing with for 8 years, and it's about to come to fruition.
- It’s been a hard month, and I need prayer. I’m having heart palpitations that won’t go away. Thank you, friends.
- Please pray for my mom’s leg. Amanda
- Please, I’m asking for prayers for healing and to clear the sickness from my body.
- Please pray for my son to continue to receive signs of where he needs to be and to show him the people who aren’t out for his best interest. Please lead him to those who love God.
- Please pray for my son, he is 4 years old. He is suffering from bilateral pneumonia and has been confined to the hospital. I hope and pray Lord Jesus will heal him and free him from all sickness. Also, pray for our financial needs that we can pay all the hospital bills, in Jesus’ name. Thank you, everyone. God bless us all.
- Please pray for my family. My daughter is struggling with mental health. My husband and I are exhausted fighting for her. I beg the Lord to guide us and give us hope and strength in this battle. May she see how precious she is and that God has a plan for her life. JB
- Please pray for my family's salvation, for the family drama to stop, and for my boyfriend, B. He needs prayer for his finances, his job, and to see if God wants him to live near me and for our relationship. Thank you all! God bless you all for praying!
- Please pray for B, T, and C. The Lord knows their needs. Thank you for your prayers.
- I’m going to get a cervical epidural steroid injection in my neck. I am praying this brings some relief as I suffer from pain in my neck. Please pray for me, thank you. JT

Parson to Person
- A six-year-old came home from school one day with a note from his teacher in which it was suggested that he be taken out of school, as he was “too stupid to learn.” That student’s name was Thomas Alva Edison.
