This Week

Thanksgiving Dinner
Our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be Sunday, November 24 at 5:00 p.m. in the Jacklin Event Building at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. The church will provide the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, and gravy, but we need your help! We still have the following items to be claimed and prepared for our dinner: 18 turkeys, 20 gravy packets, and 7 packets of mashed potatoes. We also need helpers to set up, serve, and clean up. If you would like to help, have any questions, or need a map to the Fairgrounds, please visit the Info Center or call the Church Office at 208-773-7100. Thank you!

Kid's Christmas Craft Fair and Dessert Social
Our Kid’s Christmas Craft Fair and Dessert Social is a chance for kids to make and buy, sell, and/or trade items, which may include food, ornaments, gifts, handicrafts, stitching, crochet, knitting, painted rocks, wood crafts, paper crafts, salt dough ornaments, etc. If your child would like a booth, please visit the Info Center to sign up. This Craft Fair also includes a dessert social. The Kid’s Christmas Craft Fair and Dessert Social will take place on Saturday, December 7 in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall from noon to 3:00 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend, bring your friends with you.

Nursery and Toddler Volunteers are Needed
Volunteers are needed for the Nursery/Toddler Classrooms at both services on Sunday and Friday nights. Volunteers serve once a month on a rotating schedule. See Becky in the Toddler Room for more information. The Nursery and Toddler Classrooms are located at the end of the hallway as you walk through the Office.

Bible Study and Worship
You are warmly invited to join us for Bible Study and Worship in the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as Pastor Bob teaches verse-by-verse through the Gospel of Matthew. On Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Bob has just begun to teach verse-by-verse in 2 Timothy, and on Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Bob has started to teach verse-by-verse in the Book of Daniel.  As a church family, we are committed to the safety of you, your family, and all who attend North Country Chapel. We ask those who feel poorly or believe they may have an illness that could spread to others to stay home and join us online for Bible Study.

Online Weekly Bible Studies
For those who are uncomfortable attending services in person due to COVID-19, or are not feeling well, all our Bible Studies are currently online, and we invite you to join us via our website, on the radio, and on Facebook LIVE. You can access our studies in the following ways:

  • Audio of the study is available after the service (10:30 a.m. Sundays, 8:30 p.m. Mondays, and Fridays) on our Latest Studies page and our app. Videos of the studies will be available by Tuesday afternoon.

    Prayer Requests

    • Prayer for my biopsy to go exactly according to the Lord's will. If there is anything to be found, I want the doctors to see it.
    • It's been 2 years since the murders on the Idaho campus. Let's all keep their families in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
    • Please pray for a dear woman who underwent an invasive medical procedure today, thank you.
    • Please pray for my daughter. She had to have a mastectomy back in April and now the doctor is concerned about the other breast. Please pray the mammogram doesn't show anything concerning and the Dr. is only having her go through this procedure as a precaution. She’s scared after what she went through just a short while ago. Pray for a good outcome and for her to have peace. Thank you for praying! JS
    • Please pray for my brother-in-law who has been diagnosed with leukemia. He’s in the hospital undergoing many blood transfusions along with chemotherapy. Pray he gains strength to come home so his wonderful wife can take care of him. He can have his chemo treatments close to where they live. I believe people heal better when they are at home with the constant love of friends and family. Thank you for praying, so much power in prayer! JS
    • Please pray for me, for my husband, and for our marriage.
    • I ask for continued prayer as I struggle with the excessive pain from my hip surgery. Thankfully, I’m getting stronger every day. PS
    • Please pray for Betty, the Lord knows her needs.
    • A woman asked for prayer.
    • Pray for me, I'm battling depression and living in agony.
    • Needing prayers for our dear friends, their baby is fighting in PICU with RSV and bacterial pneumonia. Please pray for this adored little infant’s healing. He’s been in PICU for over a week now.
    • Please pray for my precious mother, that her X-ray exam comes back good. Shelly
    • I could use prayer for a housing situation. I have been waiting for over 7 years on the NRH low-income housing list. Due to a situation beyond my control, I could lose our apartment in the next 6-9 months. I'm on government assistance. I can't find work. I'm a disabled person who is in my fifties. Thank you, Jennifer.
    • Kayla has many serious medical conditions, please keep her in your prayers.
    • Please pray for my wife Tiffany, that her green card is approved, thank you.
    • I am asking for prayers that I can get this job I interviewed for today. I need to make a change that is better for me and my 6-year-old. I had an interview and was told I would have to do a second interview. Please pray I pass the interview.
    • Please pray for my family. My husband has made his decision, and now he wants to live his last days. Some family members cannot accept his decision. Please pray our family comes together and supports my husband; his time is near.
    • I've been feeling a bit depressed. I'm not sure why. I've been crying a lot and can't seem to snap myself out of it. Please pray for me. GG
    • Please keep me and my wife in your prayers. We're trying to quit smoking and it's hard! I also have two unspoken requests I would like you to remember as well; thank you so much and God bless.
    • Please pray for an upcoming court date for a man I care about. May God show mercy, grace, and lenience; show him Your love. God knows the situation. Please pray for this man to know God’s love, and grace.
    • My mom is in the hospital with internal bleeding, undergoing testing and we have no answers yet; please pray for her.
    • Please pray for my vehicle situation, job promotion at work, strength, and peace during this time of attack. Your prayers are appreciated, thank you.
    • Please pray for my stepdaughter, she has severe heart issues and we just found out she needs to have a heart transplant. Please pray for the Lord to help us feel calm and safe in His love. M. Smith
    • My wife’s pregnant niece is scheduled for tests soon on the health of her unborn child. There is a chance of complications with the baby. Please say a prayer that her child is - and will - be found healthy and safe in the Lord’s hands. Thank you for your prayers! Jeff
    • I’m humbly asking for prayers. My father, mother, and sister were in a bad accident. Praise God, they're all alive, but my sister is in a lot of pain. Please pray for healing, comfort, peace, and strength. Thank you.
    • Please pray that the ride service I rely on comes through and provides me transportation to my doctor’s appointment. They are the only way I can get there and I must make it to the doctor so I can get updated prescriptions for my diabetic needs. M

    Praise Reports

    • I appreciate all your prayers for my successful hip surgery. PS

    Parson to Person

John Wesley said, “Give me a hundred men who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I will shake the world. I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; and such alone will overthrow the kingdom of Satan and build up the Kingdom of God on earth”.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen  Matthew 28:18-20
